Beach Birds 6x8 Tile in Pebble
6x8 Beach Birds is from “Charley Harper’s Animal Kingdom: A Portfolio of Prints” (originally titled “Strollin’ and Patrollin’”). We love the artist’s alliterative description of the scene: “Sanderlings scurry in seemingly synchronized strings seeking sustenance at the seashore. As we comb the beach for souvenir shells, these small stocky symbols of summer serenity run with the ebb and flow of the surf. Their bills can probe only a few centimeters, so they eagerly probe the soft sand exposed by the swirling, retreating water for crabs and other coveted crustaceans. For vacationers, a walk on the beach is a leisurely event. But these cute birds mean business.”
