Mesmer Selva Large 16" Necklace

The name refers to the Austrian physician Franz Anton Mesmer, famously reputed to have invented hypnotism. The design is both primitive and modern, simple and ornate. Concentric circles of sgraffito, like a tree trunk's, are carefully scratched over two layers of enamel.

The bail is silver-plated brass with a lacquer finish to prevent tarnish.

The chain is sterling silver with a rhodium coating to prevent tarnish.
